Comprehensive Classroom Management Plan

Jeanne Weber, St. John Fisher College

Each of my students deserves an environment that will nurture within them a love of learning and a desire to be a positive influence on the world around them.

I believe this with my entire being.

However, this environment will not just appear magically. It must be created; and this Comprehensive Classroom Management Plan details the philosophies and processes necessary to reach that goal.

So, what is a Comprehensive Classroom Management Plan anyway?

Broken down to the simplest concept, a Comprehensive Classroom Management Plan(CCMP) is a plan that focuses on adequately meeting needs. Needs of the student, yes, first and foremost but also the needs of the classroom teacher(s), the family, other faculty and staff, and service providers, as well as the greater community. Certainly it seems a daunting task. Here you will find links that will identify each area of need and my detailed plan for meeting that need. There will be some overlap resulting from the recognition that these represent needs of interwoven and interconnected ideas and groups.

First, though, it may help to know a little more about me. If you haven't already, you can read my My Personal Philosophy of Education.
